Dear Mike,
I saw your post on genealogy.com and that you had talked about Marion Allen Mash. He was born either 26 Oct 1871 or like he stated on the 1900 Montague County, Tx census in Mar. 1873 in Independence Co. Arkansas. He supposedly married 2 times #1. Lucy Moore and had two sons then left her with her father sometime between 1900 and 1910. Then sometime between 1910 and 1920 he is in Perry County, Ark. married to a woman named Minnie Bell Rinehart, my great-grandmother. My grandmother is their daughter. His father was William Asbury Mash b. ca. 1837 in Tennessee died 3 Oct. 1873 in Little Rock, Pulaski, AR at the Sweet Home Veteran's Home. He married Lucinda (Lucy) Ellen Elkins 23 Nov 1858 in either Franklin Co. or Knox Co. TN. She was b. 22 Feb. 1840 Bedford Co. TN and d. 18 Jul 1919 Coppell, Dallas, TX. Their children were 1. Lewis Edward 2. Elizabeth Ella "Marzee" 3. William Madison 4. Margaret 5. Sarah J. 7. James Marvin 8. Marion Allen

William A. Mash had a brother that did not live far from the family in Hill County TX. He was Marion A. Mash and married Mary Ann Lee Wilkinson. I have their father as either John W. Mash who is listed in the 1850 Bedford County TN census with a William A. age 19. I have no other Mash in TN that is a likely canidate to be his father. In 1860 Franklin County TN census William A. Mash is listed as 23, Lucy 20, Lewis E. 6/12. Where do you get your information that Slyus A. Mash (Stiars) is the father of William A.? The only listing I find for him is in the 1880 Census of Hill County, TX.
