Hi Laverne, just read your message from sometime ago. I am researching my Marx ancestors in Australia and I have found some interesting similarities between your Marx people and mine. Firstly, my ggggrandfather is Johannes Marx who arrived in nsw Aus. in abt. 1864. He was from Germany and was B. abt 1822 and married there, abt. 1844. His spouse was Nathalie Schneider. They had 8 children, Freida Johanna being my GGgrandmother. The family names from their linage in Australia are John, James, Eugene, Alfred, Nathalie, Nathanial, TRAUGOTT (that's spooky isn't it?)Ernest, Freida, Pearl, Ziona (siona?), Elizabeth etc. The coincidence, especially with Traugott, is interesting. I was wondering if there is any mention of a cousin from Weil am Rein, who may have ventured this way? I have come to a dead end from this end. Any help would be greatly appreciated.Brenda
