I believe he is referring to the Karl Marx who wrote Das Kapital and devised the basic principles on which communism was based.

The original message was posted by my father Stephen, whose grandmother, Johanna Marx, was allegedly Karl Marx's niece (i.e. one of Karl's brother's daughters).

Our family is very interested in finding out how we could go about confirming this.

If anyone could assist us in our quest we would be most grateful, or if there are any other descendants of the great Karl Marx, perhaps they would be able to offer some information.
