Using US census data and information purportedly copied
from the family bible of Hiram Martz (1800-1861) of
Rockingham County, VA, I have assembled a family profile for
Benjamin Franklin Martz (24 Mar 1830 to 27 Aug 1860). Hiram
Martz (1800-1861), an early Virginia legislator, was the son
of Michael Martz (1775-1814) and Sarah Catherine Hawkins
(1780-1865). Hiram Martz (1800-1861) was the grandson of
Sebastian Martz (~1740-1818), who once owned Toll House Farm
in Tenth Legion, Rockingham County, VA.

Benjamin Franklin Martz (1830-1860) was a son of Hiram Martz
(1800-1861) and spouse Hannah Asbury Matthews (1803-1861).
Benjamin Franklin Martz (1830-1860) wed Elvira G. Fletcher
on 12 Sep 1854. They had five children:
Mary Addie Martz, born 16 Jun 1855, died 28 Aug 1855
Frank Edgar Martz, born 20 Jul 1856, died 14 Jan 1865
[Frank E., age 4, in the 1860 census for Harrisonburg,
Rockingham County, VA. Mary & Frank are buried side-
by-side in Woodbine Cem'y, Rockingham County, VA]
Robert Blair William Worth Martz, born 21 Mar 1858
[Wm W, age 2, in the 1860 census for Harrisonburg,
Rockingham County, VA]
Delia Mildred Martz, born 29 Jun 1860 [does not appear in
the 1860 census as it was enumerated on 4 Jun 1860.
In the 1880 census for Harrisonburg, Rockingham
County, VA, Mildred (or Minnie), age 20, and brother
William, age 22, both listed as single, show up in the
household of Annie H. Fletcher]
Hiram Franklin Sellers Martz, born 20 Jan 1861
[speculative, if a child of Benjamin Franklin Martz,
would have been conceived between 29 Jun 1860 and
27 Aug 1860, and then survived a premature birth]

I am using this forum to try to establish that Delia Mildred
(Minnie) Martz, born 29 Jun 1860, was an aunt by marriage,
to the President. More specifically, she married a man
surnamed Stover, who was an uncle to the President, Dwight
David Eisenhower (DDE).

The mother of DDE was Ida Elizabeth Stover (1 May 1862 to
11 Sep 1946), born in Mt. Sidney, Augusta County, VA and
died in Abilene, Dickinson County, KS. Her father was Simon
P. Stover (28 Sep 1822 to 11 Dec 1873), born and died in
Mt. Sidney, Augusta County, VA. Her mother was Elizabeth
Ida Link, born 1822 in VA.

Using the 1860-1880 censuses for Augusta County, VA and a
little additional info from ancestry.com, I have been able to identify the brothers and half-brothers of Ida Elizabeth
Stover Eisenhower (1862-1946):
William Daniel Stover, born 3 Oct 1849
John F. Stover, born 22 Mar 1851
Jacob Wain Stover, born 24 Aug 1853, died 20 Nov 1901
in 1879, he married Philome (born ~1859)
Charles Wesley Stover, born 24 Jan 1855, married Anna or
Annie J. ?????
Joseph Worth Stover, born 28 Apr 1857
Simon Christian Stover, born 16 Oct 1859
Milton Theodore Stover, born 28 Oct 1864
missing from 1880 census
Luther R. Stover, born ~1871
Samuel D. Stover, born ~1874
To be an aunt of DDE, Delia Mildred (Minnie) Martz
(born 1860) must have married one of them. I have been unable to establish that any had a spouse with given name
Delia, Mildred or Minnie.

Any helpful info, positive or negative, will be appreciated.
