Hi,

I also am decended from John and Eliza through James Henry Martineau. I haven't been able to go any further back than Francois Martineau, b. 8 Sept 1640, in Le Ile De Re, France, d. 1707, Staten Island, New York. Supposedly the family came to America because of the Huguenot's being forced to flee France.

My Grandmother was Jenny Blanche Martineau, b. 1880, Nebraska. Her father was Jesse C. Martineau, b. 1858, Utah. Those dates are approx. I believe Jesse is from James' marriage to Susan Julia Martineau. I find no record of this. There was a son Jesse Nathaniel.

Anything you can share with me would be greatly appreciated.

Thanking you in advance, Glenda
