I am searching for information on my gggrandmother. I am searching for her. brothers and sisters. Her name: Sophie Marineau dit Hostain b. abt 1816 in Louiseville, Quebec, d. in Aylmer, Que. July 08, 1857 married to a Joseph Louis Lebel on Aug 03, 1835 in Louiseville, Quebec.
Her Parents: Michel Hostain dit Marineau b. 1773 Louiseville, Quebec married to Louise Lesage on Nov 25, 1799 in Louiseville, Quebec.
Parents of Michel Hostain dit Marineau were Jean Baptiste Marineau dit Austin Hostin and Marie Angelique Chartier dit Robert m 1745 Longue Pointe Quebec
I understand that some of the Marineau's mostly lived in the St. Eustache, Quebec area and some with the name Marineau took the name of Martineau or Martin. I'v hit a dead end on this name. Thanks
