Since you are in Utah, you might look for this book: "The Autobiography of James Henry Martineau", who moved to Utah from Staten Island, NY. It is about your branch of the family and might be very helpful, as he refers to his ancestry back to France.

I also had contact with several other researchers in you line. There are at four other people researching your line, so also look at the the LDS site online. (if you need help finding that information, let me know.) I can look for their email addresses; I haven't had contact with them since 2004.
