Constance, I'm connected in at least one way, but I'm afraid I won't have any additional info for you. In fact, I might benefit from asking you: I followed your earlier exchange with Carsten Johnson re Marmaduke Forster, and I'm assuming that you might've learned more, on the Martines at least, since then.
I'm researching the possibility of a line of Clarks (my mother's family) descended from Marmaduke and Jemima's daughter Rachel (1775-1828) who married Henry Clark in Pleasantville in about 1808 and had several children.I have at least one realtively well documented indirect connection with this family, but am working on another more direct line as well.I know that at least one distant relative of mine has also made some connection to John Martine several years ago, though I'm still unsure of the context.
Anyhow, I know you're the one who asked the initial question, but I'd love to here what you've learned, and your connection.
