Samuel Martine (mid 1800s)

I am looking for any leads whatsoever on a Samuel Martine of New York City in the middle 1800s.

Samuel D. Martine married a Mary Elizabeth Wood on April 23, 1948 in New York City. I'm staring at the certificate. He is listed in the 1820 and 1830 New York City censuses. They had a son Samuel Wesley Martine, who married Alvira Woods Brooks of Massachusetts --old if ordinary family, plenty of genealogical data-- and had two children, Anita and Lawrence. Samuel Wesley Martine committed suicide --ah the family skeletons-- in 1898.

That is absolutely all I know.

Any concrete connections to the Martines who evidentally were everywhere in New York from the 1700s on, would be appreciated.
