Died.

MARTINDALE--Eight miles northeast of Longmont, of paralysis of the throat, Tuesday, June 22, 1897, Andrew Martindale, aged 76 years, 3 months and 7 days.
Mr. Martindale was born in Patrick Co., Old Virginia, March 15, 1825. He moved to Indiana where he married Nancy Oliphant, and united with the Baptist church at the age of 21 years. He moved to Iowa in 1863 where he united with the Union Baptist church, which membership he held at the time of his death. He came to Colorado in 1889 and has lived here ever since. He had been suffering from lung trouble for several years, but the immediate cause of his death was paralysis of the throat.
He selected the text for his funeral sermon himself from I Peter 1:14.
The services were held at the Baptist church Wednesday afternoon at 3 o’clock. He leaves three sons with their families to morn his loss, two of which live near Longmont and one in the Indian Territory.
