Ned,
Thank you for contacting me. I am writing a second book about unsolved pre-1930 murders in Monmouth County. Colonel Martindale was Commandant of Fort Hancock, Sandy Hook, NJ, when Private Isidore Dunsky was murdered.
My chapter 12 is about Dunsky’s death, and I would like to have a picture of Colonel Martindale, circa 1920s, to add to the chapter.
Can I ask, when and where did your great grandfather die?
Do you have a picture of him as a US Army Colonel?
