I believe Mary Elizabeth's mother was Elena Davidson. Her and Charles Laford VanPelt was married in Highland Co., IN 8-4-1852. She may have died because he married Sarah VanPelt 8-11-1859 and married again to Elizabeth Farris 8-29-1863. I believe Sarah is John Wesley's mother. I do not know if Sarah is a cousin or she may have been married to a VanPelt previously, that was the name on the marriage index. I hope this helps.
