I came across your message quite by accident. My grandmother was Mary (Marie) Martinache. She immigrated to this county in 1898. It is very difficult to read the date on the paperwork so it is subject to change. She was born in 1890 in Lens France. She had a brother Charles who was born in 18-- can't read the entire date. They settled in Crawford County, Pittsburg Kansas, they were coal miners. She married Frank Henri(Francois) Bourg in 1911. He was killed in the coal mines. She then married Adolph Pirquet in Girard KS in 1920. He also was a coal miner. They moved to Rock Springs Wy. Actually to a coal mining camp called Lionkol outside of town.

Well I think I have covered a lot if anything sounds familiar let me know.
