Hi! I have a William Martin married to a Mary
whose last name I don't know. He was born in
Tennessee, where I don't know. His family must have moved to Kentucky at some time for on the 1850 census sheet it says that Mary was born in KY; whereas, the census sheet, by the way the census sheet is for Wayne County, says that William was born in Tennessee. William is my great-great-great-grandfather. He was born in 1817 or 1816 for
the census sheet says that he was 33. His oldest son was Shelby Martin and was 11 at the time of the census. Shelby was born in Ritner, Wayne County, KY on 2-9-1839. I need to know if you know anything of these Martin's for I cannot get any farther back than him. I'm sure someone knows something else about these Martins and since these Martins were from Wayne County orginally maybe you can help me?
