Would a Margarete Martin, born c.1823, have been a member of this family? Margarette married Frederick LaFon in 1847 and, therefore, would not have been included in this listing.

We are attempting to confirm a relationship with a Margarette Martin and a William M. Martin as sister and brother.

Also trying to establish the family identity of a Pvt. William M. Martin, CSA, 5th TN Infantry, Company C, as a teamster.

m1 of William M. Martin was to a Lauretta Ellen ADEN in 1857. He is later listed in an 1870 TX Census, Bosque County, enumerated with a William & Mary Jane (LaFON) Glass. m2 was to a Caroline (maiden name unknown).

Mary Jane (LaFon) GLASS was a daughter of Frederick & Margarette (Martin) LaFON.

No records of birth. marriage, divorce, or death for William Martin have been discovered in order to identify parents (both reportedly born in VA) and/or siblings.
