I don't know how they tie in. That's what I'm trying to find out. My Martins are in Steubenville, but my great-grandfather, Leamon W. Martin was born in Sistersville, Tyler County, VA (WV) in 1843, to James Martin and Malissa Ann Atkinson.
There was a fire chief in Steubenville in the late 1800's named William Barney Martin. He is identical in appearance to my great-grandfather.
I'm just trying to tie the families together. Martin and Atkinson are prevalent names in Belmont County.
That's all I know.
