I am interested in connecting with descendants of Gibson Martin (1770-1809) his son John Martin (1805-1863). They had abundant relatives in Oglethorpe County, Georgia, including John's daughter Ann Eliza Martin (1833-1900), my ancestor.
John and Eliza lived in the Martin home place on what is now known as Old Martin Road, Wolfskin District of Oglethorpe County. The Martin cemetery was, and is, still next door, although the house has been torn down. I understand that it was burned sometime in the 1950s or 60s. Some of my relatives remember seeing it.
Surely, some Martin cousin has a photograph of this house. I would love to have a copy.
