2. William MARTIN. Born on 13 10 1796 in Neilston, Renfrew. William died in Main St, Barrhead on 10 3 1887, he was 90. Occupation: Letter Carrier.
app 1814 when William was 17, he married Mary Ann MASON, daughter of James MASON & Margaret MERRILEES, in Abbey, Renfrew. Born on 27 10 1793 in Barony. Mary Ann died in Barrhead on 30 6 1874, she was 80.

vi. Marion. Born in 1833 in Neilston. Marion died in 110 Main Street, Barrhead on 10 7 1908, she was 75. Occupation: Dressmaker. Single. Lived With Her Father.

3. William MARTIN. Born on 30 1 1815 in Abbey, Renfrew. William died in Main St, Barrhead on 9 5 1875, he was 60. Occupation: Cotton Factory Handloom Weaver.
On 25 11 1842 when William was 27, he married Jane (Jean) MILLER, daughter of Robert MILLAR & Susan POLLOCK, in Neilston, Renfrew. Born on 29 12 1811 in Renfrew, Lanark. Jane (Jean) died in 232 Main St, Barrhead on 22 12 1894, she was 82.
They had the following children:

4. Robert Miller MARTIN. Born in 1847. Robert Miller died in Lowhouse, Beith on 1 12 1907, he was 60. Occupation: Engine Fitter; Road Surfaceman.
On 6 6 1873 when Robert Miller was 26, he married Annie ARMSTRONG, daughter of Joseph ARMSTRONG & Jane McMINTRIE, in Croftstobs. Born in 1847 in Dundonald, Ayr.
5. Susan MARTIN. Born on 20 4 1851 in Neilston. Susan died in Albert Cottage, Luncarty on 12 5 1928, she was 77. Buried in Redgorton Kirkyard.
On 29 3 1872 when Susan was 20, she married William FARQUHAR, son of John FARQUHAR & Janet MACPHEE, in Barrhead. Born in 1848 in Barrhead. William died on 27 3 1933, he was 85.
