Maxine I don't know if you have the info you need on Martha (Patsy) Teressa Martin or not but here goes. Patsy was born 26 Nov 1835 and died 10 Dec 1917. She married John Johns on 02 Apr 1855. Patsy was the daughter of John L. Martin and Catherine Friend. John and Catherine were married 09 Jan 1834 in Greene County, MO. Catherine is the daughter of William and John was the fourth son of Judge Samuel Martin and wife Elizabeth Andrew Martin.
The Martin's migrated to the Ozarks from North Carolina in 1829. Samuel was the first presiding Justice upon the formation of Greene County in 1833. He filled the position for the first six months of the county's existance.
John L. Martin was born 1811 in Lincoln County, NC. His father Samuel was born 19 Nov 1776 in Mecklenburg County, NC. Samuel's father Richard Martin was a veteran of the American Revolution. He enlisted 8 Aug 1776 and received his discharge 01 Apr 1779.
I have the children of John and Patsy Johns around here somewhere if you need them. Don't hesitate to email me at [email protected] Thanks Glain Martin
