Hi, my name is Maggie and I have some Marths that came into Illinois in 1875. There was a total of nine children born to Maria Fleischer and Claus Marth. Claus died in Germany and Maria brought four of her nine children. I don't know how many she brought with her to make the trip but there were four of my family that settled here in Nebraska. I later found two more from birth records in Germany. Making total of 6. My cousin says he had heard at least one of the children that came over fell overboard so there may have been more. Also my gr. grandfather was from Illinois. He was a Dahmer.
