I am looking for info on this inn, if it is still in there in Germany. It was owned in 1922 by the Martens family, Joh, and a brother from the Quad cities, Ill. named Julius went back to Germany to help purchase this in 1922. This inn bottled mineral water and was said to be radio active. Hitler used this in as a retreat for officers. A friend of mine , who is in her 80's father was Julius. She was an only child and was not told of anything about her grandparents. Her mother's name was Emma Haack. Julius was born in 1887, youngest of the brothers. He came to the US in 1911 settled first in the Dakota's near Sioux Falls before coming to Rock Island, Ill. Any info on this inn or family connections would be helpful.
