This modern Henry M is certainly descended from Sir Henry Marten, the lawyer, father of the regicide. If he is descended from the regicide this must be through the regicide's only son. Laurie Ashton says he only had the one. Do you know the son's name? I think it was Henry (again!), born 1639 according to the IGI.
