I was able to learn some more info. I was already aware that the Pendleton family referred to the farm as the Garrison house farm. Indeed the farm had a military garrison house in the 1740s. The Garrison house housed some troops led by Captain Jonathan Longellow. It was referred to, over the years, as the Longfellow Garrison. The Marston family tore down the Garrison House many many many many years ago. In the 1930s, the last Marston to own the farm was a Laura Marston, and then it passed to Mary Willis Pendleton. I am not aware of the Willis family relationship to the Marston family. The Pendletons had a daughter named Jean. Jean married a man by the last name Barnes. After the 1960s, did the farm pass to the Barnes family?
