Hi Dean! My name is Krzysztof (Christopher). Brynica is around 12 miles from Popelau (now Popielów in english, I think try say popeloov). Sorry I'm not good in english. In near future I'll try to make my genealogy tree. In Brynica first person with name Marzolek was written in old books (parish)around 1670. First name of this person is Simon. In next register is Simon Marszollek. You have to know that names Marsolek, (Marsollek ,Marscholek, Marschollek in german times for ex. my father, grand father and some before),Marszolek, (Marszołek, Marsołek, Marszałek but only from Silesia and only after 1945- Polish governmental restrictions changed Marsolek for polish because in polish language Marszalek (Marszałek) means marshal)have the same roots. I'm very busy man and have little time for serching old books on parish library.
My theory is name Marsolek is from only one root because the family named Marsolek are on are 30x30 miles around me and as you know in america from 18 th century. I know very much about local history. I'll write more soon. Krzysztof.
