Alexander Marshall II & his decendants

I am trying to find proof of the children of Alexander Marshall II, m. Sarah Mosley. I have confliction wives - one wife may have been Margaret Gilespie. My question is this: he apparently lived his entire life in Henrico County, Va, but everything I have on this family has a daughter, Marion, b. in Scotland. I have his 3 oldest children b. in Scotland & the younger ones b. in England, but yet he supposedly was in Va. all his life. If anyone can clear this up for me I would greatly appreciate it.
