I'm stuck on a family line. I'm looking for more family info on Leonard Marsh, born about 1810 in Mass and his daughter Nettie Marsh born Jan 1851 in Ill. Nettie married Oroville Chown about 1882 and they had 6 kids.
I haven't found much information on her parents except that I came across the court records that named Nettie's father Leonard. Appearantly Leaonard lent Oroville and Nettie money to buy a house with the provision that he was going to stay with them. I presume they had a blowout and Leonard was suing for the money back that he lent them and Nettie and Oroville claimed it was an advanced inheritance. In the book "Reports of Cases at Law and in Equity Determined by the Supreme Court of the State of Iowa" as searched through Google books, on pages 555-563 is the details of the appeal case.
