I have two original cabinet card photographs of Marsden ancestors, which I’d like to get back to descendants or family members. One photo (taken in Edgerton, Rock Co., WI in about 1895) shows an older woman, about 75, with six men and one woman all in their 30s & 40s. On the back is written “Joseph Marsden’s family”. The other photo was taken in Waukesha (Waukesha Co.) WI, and is identified as “Joe W. Marsden and wife”.

I found Joseph W. Marsden in the 1880 census of Albion (Dane Co.) WI, with parents Samuel, age 39, and Janette, 35. In 1880, Joseph W. was age 10. OneWorldTree identifies him as Joseph Wallace Marsden, born Apr 1870 in Albion, WI, married 1893 to Eva J. Moyes. I found Joseph and Eva in the 1900 census for Waukesha (Waukesha Co.), where the photo was taken, and they were living with Eva’s father, James Moyes.

Get back to me at margerice@prodigy.net if you are related to Joseph W. Marsden.
