My aunt was Rosetta (Rose) McKinney, who married Daniel (Ed) Marsden, November 20, 1898.They married in Gordon, Palo Pinto Co., TX. She was an older sister of my mother, Ella Jane McKinney McElroy, who was born June 13, 1893, Palo Pinto Co, about 7 1/2 miles northeast of Gordon, TX. Aunt Rose was born in Hill Co., TX before the McKinney family moved to Palo Pinto Co. They were the children of John J (J J) McKinney and Eliza Jane (Jennie) Pledger.
Uncle Ed Marsden was the son of James (Cornelous or Edward?)Marsden and his wife, Mary Ellen Sisk. He was born January 17, 1873, Parker Co., TX. Evidently he was their eldest child. Ed and Rose had seven children: William Arthur, born Oct 14, 1899; James Luther, born Nov 4, 1901; Lena Mae, May 15, 1904; John Floyd, Sept 22, 1906; Clarence Elmer, June 12, 1909; Dema Gertrude, Mar 16, 1912; and Billy Gene, Sept 24, 1923.
