I think I found her!
Does this sound even guesstimated right?
"Ada Marsalis, b. 1865, d. Hope, Ark., m UNKNOWN CHADDICK, Hope, Ark."

This Ada was the daughter of James Enoch Marsalis, b. 14 Feb. 1828 , Amite Co., MS and died 27 July 1915, buried in Madisonville, TX Cem.. He married Dorothea Margaret Thompson, daughter of James Thompson and Nancy Womack. Dorothea was born 31 Aug. 1831 in Pike Co, MS and died 1880.

I can tell you lots more about this family - in fact I know 2 other descendants. James Enoch was the son of Ephraim who was son of Peter Hutchins Marsalis. Peter H. is the progenitor of the Southern Marsalis lines. The progenitor of the line is Pieter Marcelis from Beest, Netherlands who came to New Metherlands in 1661.
