Greetings,

I am looking for information on John Mars

John Mars was born at Terre Haute, Ind., May 31, 1831

John Mars and Mary Medora Osborne were married at Marshall, Ill., Sept 20, 1850

I have reference to John Mars' parents having been born in PA

I would appreciate any information on John Mars ancestry and their country of origin

The son, John Mars married Jane Kimber, born at Myland, Dorcetshire, England, Feb, 15, 1843

They were married at Bement, Ill., Sept. 12, 1876 They had a bunch of kids, and I have info on that.

A Mars granson or other, I believe a Wm. or Will Mars owned the Mars Oil Company in St. Louis, as I understand,later possibly sold to Marathon Oil. I am also Interested in that branch of decendents. I have received some information from decendents of the Osbornes.
