Dear Jan, Dawn and Will,

I have a lot of information on this family. We are dec through Eliza J. Marrs (1835~1889) daughter of Hugh Marrs (1797~1878) and his first wife Eleanor Riggin (1805~1837). Eliza married Pallis Hillary Webster (1826~1897) In fact all of Berrien Co, MI is related to each other. Hugh(1797~1878) was an early pioneer to the Berrien & Cass Co.MI.
I have a guestion also, Hugh (1797~1878) married, third time to,Elizabeth Gilson (@1813~1851), where does the name HARTSEL for her come in? Was Gilson her nee and she was married before Hugh to a Hartsell? Cass Co, MI marriage records state "Gilson". There was a Sarah Hartsell listed with them in 1850 census. I have a daughter for Archibald and Deborah..."KEZIE" True? Will you mentioned you have the bible record, poss to get a copy of that?
Just for the record, I am also involved in the history of this area and any factual stuff would be great.
The trouble is there are at least four "Hugh Marrs/Mars" in Southwest Michigan.
Write me privately and we can exchange information.
