Hi Craig. Kathy is my sister, so I'm sure she'll fill in whatever I neglect to add.

We do not know much. The early death of Emily (Marriott) Meredith in Detroit, our g-grandmother at the age of 34 in 1916; the relocation of her husband Richard Meredith from Michigan, to L.A., and subsequently to Texas where he died circa 1959; the divorce of their son Wilfred, our grandfather, when my father was a baby and then his early death at the age of 39 back in '44 in Chicago, all means, well, what we know is limited to some research Kath has done on-line. Whatever you can add would be great.

What do we have? Kath determined that Emily Marriott was born the fifth of six children in or about 1882 in Mansfield England, the daughter of John and Lucy (?) Marriott. Other children included a William Marriott (your g-grandad?) born in or about 1874, and then in order (all years approx), Sam (1876), Robert (1879), John (1880), Emily (above) and Alice in 1883.

Richard and Emily (hard time writing that sometimes, unintentionally also the names of my two kids) had three children, our aforementioned granddfather Wilfred (born in Nottingham, 21 June 1904); Florence, (also born in Nottingham in 1903 died 1941), and then Russell (born 1909 in Ontario Canada, data of death unknown) before the family moved to Detroit Michigan.

I recall our grandmother Katherine (Wilfred's wife) telling me she felt partially responsible for Florence's death, as Grandma was late meeting her outside of a store on a cold and rainy Detroit day. Florence caught pneumonia as a result and passed away.

Sorry, not much else available, if you think there might be some relationship there it would be great if you could add anything. If not, thanks all the same and take care.
