does any body know of the haddon hall family??? think it was east haddon but some family members say it was west haddon.apparently my grt grt grandfather married a girl from there her family disowned her as he was a cobbler. and as the story goes she left with the clothes on her back and a blue stone which my ancestors call a blue diamond. which my grandmother has .ive searched for history on the net for east haddon and west haddon hall but came up with nothing ive also tried searching for old newspaper articles as when my grandad's brother had the stone it was wrapped in newspaper. which got lost and i have a feeling that the newspaper was of relevance.if anybody can help id be really grateful. even if it is just the name of the family who lived in the grt grandfather was born inlondons east end so maybe they moved to london after her family disowned her?my grt grandfathe was john marriott.ive also found out my ancestors were the first pearly king and queen.ive wrote to the pearlies and they have confirmed that we were pearly king and queen and there is a book in which we are mentioned quite a lot. has anybody got a copy of this book?? ive tried my libary but it has got lost. i asked the pearlies if they could send me a copy of the relevant pages but they never replied.the book is called pearlies (a social study) author pearl binder (real name lady elwin jones) any one who can help in any way id be very gratefull
