Marriott family B'ham England (Skeleton in closet)

Well how's about this for a mystery? My father Randolph Marriott (born1924 died 1993)was the youngest of six Basil,Ruby,Theodore,Pearl and Mary were the others.Their Mum(my gran) was Mary Anne (Dublin)
It's thought by some of my surviving relatives that our grandfather was a defrocked minister!Basil Sterling Talbot Marriott, all we know of his family is that a brother (name unknown)was a Charge d'affairs for Palestine. The younger members of the family would love to know of connections across the UK/World but surviving elders either don't know anything or just won't say.My Dad never mentioned any relatives on his Fathers side.I've found a Basil Sterling Talbot Marriott who I believe was a minister Born1870 (no recorded death though)he married Daisy Celia Bareham in 1893 and apparantly had 4 children Cyril,Daisy,Sophia and Ruth could these have been 1/2 brothers and sisters that my dad never knew? I'd love to hear from any descendants of my grandfathers "other" family!Just to complicate this a bit more I once met an Andy Marriott (a broadcaster in Leicester)who looked like a younger version of my dad but I couldn't pluck up the courage to speak to him!Coincidentally that was on a broadcasting course and nowadays that's what I do too!
