I do not believe that Matthias Marriott was born here. It is believed that he came to America as a young man with Thomas Warren who owned the Rolfe-Warren Plantation at Surry Virginia. (Also known as Smith's Fort Plantation) Do you have information on the children of Matthais and Alice Warren Marriott. I have researched this line for years and am a direct descendant....I have often thought about corresponding with some researchers in England as there are many a Marriott still there, ours are believed to have come from Kent.....If you need any info from Matthais on down or even on Thomas Warren, please contact me...
