Carol,
My family still live in Yorkshire and I have recently started to attempt to trace my family tree.

To date I have been concentrating my search around the parish of Sculcoates, Hull. Place of birth of four generations of my family from my G. G. Grandfather, John around 1840, upto my own father, Eric in 1933.

I have found in Sculcoates parish records about 20 other references to Marriotts between the years 1740 to 1790, but as yet can not link these to my G. G. grandfather. (Thomas and John being by far the most common names Ive come across.)

I would be very interested to know if your investigations are in any way connected to this branch of my family tree.

Regards, Robert Marriott
