CHARLES DICKENS/Marriner or Scace connection

I'm trying to find a connection between my great grandmother, Emily Marriner , born July 1855, and Charles Dickens. She told the story about how the author used to visit the house of her uncle, where she lived or stayed, quite frequently when she was a child. She either lived with her father's brother, a Marriner, or with her mother's brother, a Dr. Scace. (Skace?)

She may have lived with one, probably in London and visited the other, in Kent but that is just a supposition on my part. It would explain why my mother thinks Emily lived with Scace and my aunt thinks it was Marriner.
Any help is appreciated.
