Hi. It's been awhile since we first posted our messages. I was just looking over some data online, and went back to this Forum. I am presently putting together "Belmont, Maine - The First Hundred Years" for publication. Last Fall, Cynthia [nee` Flagg] and I visited the Flagg Cemetery here in Belmont, and copied the inscriptions. It sounded as though you had been there, as you wrote about the cemetery. There is no order to the stones at this point. They are all standing against trees, and there are only four of them. Pray tell, do you have photos of any of the stones? I'm wondering how long the cemetery has been in the condition that it is in. It appears to have been a larger cemetery than to have held four stones. There are granite posts for a fence, which is long gone. It is hard to find in the over-grown woods. I'd appreciate any info that you might be able to give me. God bless. Isabel Morse Maresh.
