I wonder if the brogue has something to do with it? The spelling of "Marrie" often changed. A family memoire has Phillip Marria b. 1889 Sharpsville marrying Anna Weaver. I just couldn't track him until I tried all the spellings I saw on Ancestry. His family of origin is "Marry" in 1900 and 1910 Sharpsville then he is Marria on his 1918 draft card and Marrie in 1920. After 1930 he is Marria. The memoire speaks of the huge Irish clan, and census data shows atleast 3 big Marry families in Sharpsville. Immigration data might show if the fathers (john, Stephen and ?) were siblings.
