I have a couple who always said they were married in Las Vegas in 1947. Have found no copy of their marriage license in their paperwork (both deceased). Wrote to Clark Co., NV - no record of marriage for 1947 or 48 under either name. Now at a loss - any suggestions for where I can look next? Perhaps when the bride changed her name on her SS#, she would have had to provide proof? Would records be kept there? No one left from that generation who would remember and I am going crazy trying to find this. Any help would be appreciated!
