Hello Doris,
According to a marriage record I found for William Bessoir and Louise Anderson, Manhattan, NY on April 23, 1924, the spelling of the last name is a bit different than what you have. I found this record at:

Newly married and then losing his wife so early, I am wondering that baby Elizabeth may have gone to live with her grandparents on either side or a childrens home. I found a William Bessoir, born September 26, 1898, who died in Jersey City, Hudson County, in Dec. 1968. I do not have a day of death.
Maybe with this new spelling, more can be found.
