Maximiliano Marquez from New Mexico

My great-grandfather was a sheepherder called Maximiliano Marquez. The story we have was that when he was about 30 or so he was struck by lightning (while holding his shovel up over his shoulder) and died. My grandfather was Donicio Marquez and married Maria Senida Losano. She was born in 1912 and was raised by the Antanacio Sanchez family in Seyboyeta. Her parents died. I don't have any other dates other than my grandmother's date of birth. Is anyone familiar with these names or this story? I don't have very many leads on the Marquez family.
