Starting Sept. 30, 2014, Genealogy.com will be making a big change. GenForum
message boards, Family Tree Maker homepages, and the most popular articles
will be preserved in a read-only format, while several other features will
no longer be available, including member subscriptions and the Shop.
Would appreciate contacts for anyone concerning links to the Marquardt/Marquette families in Pendleton County, Kentucky (City of Falmouth, Village of Short Creek) who departed Hamburg, Germany in mid 1850s. John Marquardt died in Germany. His widow, Christina Fass Marquardt (or, perhaps, Fredericka) married Frederick Clinger and emigrated with her son, John Julius (J. J., my greatgrandfather) and stepson Harmon Clinger to New York, then Cincinnati, then to Pendleton County in Northern Kentucky. Her other children, who reportedly emigrated before their mother, were Henrietta, who married a Dahlenburg, Amelia, who married a Damien (?), and, perhaps, Peter.
