I'm your father's (Matt Marotte) cousin. I'm reserching the family tree now and will update you when I'm done if you are still interested. Your grandfather's name is Henry Marotte. His father's name was Edward Marotte Jr. His father's name was Edward Marotte, Sr. His father's name was Horace (born about 1854) in Vermont. I've traced the family from Vermont, to Rhode Island in 1880, then on to the Springfield area in Mass.
On your great grandmother's side, Edward Jr's wife was named Mildred Petrick. She had a brother Eddie Petrick and sister Eva (Petrick) St. Jean. Their father's name was Matthew Petrick and mother's married name was Elizabeth Petrick.
This is all a work in progress, but I wanted to provide an update for you as well as solicit any assistance with researching these families.
