Hi, Michele.
Knowledgeable? I don't know. There are folks more directly related to the Orricks who know a lot more about them than I do.
Yes, David Maroon was married to Sarah Orrick. How are you connected?
We have discussed the various Maroon/Orrick connections on the Maroon family discussion list at http://www.yahoogroups.com/maroon-lhttp://www.yahoogroups.com/maroon-l (that's a small L, not a one as it may appear in some fonts). Visit the site and do a keyword search for Orrick to read some of the posts on it.
Here are a few exerpts from various posts on the site.

Listed next door to David Maroon in the 1840 Wayne co., IL, census is one William Orrick. Next comes Lewis Orrick. Tammy tells us that David's wife was Sarah Orrick, who according to the census records was born in Kentucky. I found Lewis and William Orrick in the 1830 Warren county, TN, census, along with one Allen Orrick and a John Hardin. I have a record for a Lewis Orrick marrying Elizabeth Merideth in 1815 and Allen marrying one Patsy Hardin in 1819 in Hardin county, KY [Source: Kentucky Marriages, 1983, p. 272]. The Hardins were neighbors to the Maroons in Hardin county, KY, and in Rutherford and Chatham county North Carolina. Further, we find William Maroon in Warren co, TN, in the 1850 census, born in Kentucky.

I am really developing a fascination with how different families and communities connect with our Maroons. Part of this comes from the fact that it is a real aid in following migration patterns and determining relationships. The Orrick relationship with David Maroon ties him fairly squarely with Jacob in Kentucky, for instance. Part of it has to do with knowing that Maroon women doubtless intermarried with at least some of them. And part of it is that I just find it interesting.
