Mrs. Edna Maroney Wise

SHREVEPORT, LA - Funeral services for Mrs. Edna Wise, 94, will be held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, October 14, 2009 at Rose-Neath Southside Chapel. Officiating will be Rev. William Valentine pastor of Lakeview Baptist Church. Interment will follow in Forest Park West Cemetery. Visitation will be from 12:00 to 1:30 pm on Wednesday.

Mrs. Wise was born on July 3, 1915 in Pleasant Hill, LA to Albert and Orell Maroney. She passed away on October 10, 2009 in Shreveport. She was a faithful member of Lakeview Baptist Church for over 30 years. She was also a member of WMU. She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother.

Preceding Mrs. Wise in death was her husband of 60 years, (Red) O.L. Wise and son, Doyle L. Wise. Left to cherish her memory are her sons, Donald and Albert Wise; daughter, Glenda Wise; 11 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be her grandsons.

A special thanks to the staff of Garden Court Nursing Home, Pilgrim Manor Nursing Home and Grace Home for their care of Edna.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Grace Home1035 Margaret Place Shreveport, LA 71101 or the Baptist Children's Home. Rose-Neath Funeral Home Southside Chapel 687-1256
