I think we are related! My Moroney/Maroney/Marony first came to the USA and landed in Chesterton Indiana. John Moroney married Johanna Fennell in Ireland and as the story states, left Ireland in the summer accompanied by his brothers, Thomas and (?)Fred. I've always doubted the validity of the name Fred and thought maybe it was a nickname until today when I found anew website with Database for Porter County Indiana. A Fred Marony is listed as the father of an illustrious Marony son inthe Biography section. http://ingenweb.org/inporter/Data/Biographies/Morony513.htmlhttp://ingenweb.org/inporter/Data/Biographies/Morony513.html
A general search http://ingenweb.org/inporter/http://ingenweb.org/inporter/
will turn up the obits on John Moroney and a brief history. An obit for Thomas J Moroney is there as well and I have a feeling it could be the son of the Thomas that immigrated with John and Fred. Please take time in this link for possible family ties as a Patrick Moroney is listed as well.
