My great grandfather on my fathers side and his 6 brothers emmigrated to the US from Thurles, Co. Tipperary. They were born there ranging from 1847 - 1857. They all settled in the Irish section of Syracuse, NY called Tipperary Hill.
Their parents were Cornelius & Catherine Dwyre Maroney. They were both born in the mid to late 1820's.
I don't know if were related to your Maroney, but they probably were.
