Leon Reporter, Leon, Iowa Thursday, July l0, l924 SANFORD CLARK BOYD was born near Green castle, Indiana, October 2l, l859. He moved to this State when nine years old. He was married to SUSIE E. ELLIOTT, January l2, l884, and to this union were born ten children, six daughters and four sons. All living and at the bedside of their father, except one son, LOUIS ALVA, who died in infancy. MR. BOYD united with the Christian Church, January, l884, afterward moving his membership to the Christian Church at Cainsville, Mo. He has always been a good, kind and loving husband and father, also a good law-abiding citizen. Has been faithful in his interest for the welfare of his home and family to the very end of his life. He suffered untold misery, but bore it bravely never complaining of his lot. He departed this life, Sunday morning at five o'clock, June 22, l924, at his home at Cainsville, Mo. He leaves to mourn his loss, his wife and children, who are MRS. FRANK BELL MARONEY; MRS. DAISY OLIVE AXSON; GILBERT HARRISON; MRS. MAYME VIOLA FLANNAGAN; MRS. NOLTA EDITH KING; MRS. MADGE VIOLET HAMILTON; EDWARD CLARK. He also leaves two brothers, WM. and ALFRED W. BOYD. He leaves twenty-four grandchildren besides friends and neighbors. His funeral was conducted at the Christian Church Monday at ll a.m. by Rev. T.H. Wiles, Pastor of the First Baptist Church of Cainsville, Mo. His body was laid to rest in the Fairview Cemetery.
