Still trying to find ancestry of our grandfather, John Franklin MARLOW, b. 1850, TX.

Isabella SANDLIN m. Robert D MARLOW in Rusk, TX, Jun 1850. In the 1850 Rusk, TX census, Robert MARLOW 35 b NC, Isabella 38 b. NC, William 18 b. NC, Caroline 13 b. AL, Mary 11 b. AL, John 1/12 b. TX. The 3 older children are Isabella's, and John is our ancestor. Carolina SANDLIN m.
N W PAYNE 8 Jan 1855 in Rusk, TX. Mary SANDLIN m. Joseph BULLARD in 1865 Rusk Co. It was thought by an older family researcher that the KINCAID name enters as either a previous marriage or maiden name of Isabella. Another researcher (Scott, I think) names John Sandlin, brother of Alex Kimsay Sandlin, as Isabella's previous husband; William (Isabella's son) is either a Kincaid or Sandlin. Wm D KINCADE and A K SANDLIN are the neighbors on either side of the MARLOW family in 1850. The 2 girls b. AL give us an AL connection, possible Cherokee co. I am at a brick wall on both Isabella and Robert and am trying to determine Isabella's maiden name.

A Kincaid researcher told me of the possibility (family story) that Susan, w/o Wm D Kincaid, in 1850 Rusk, TX census, is a SANDLIN. The neighbors are Alex K Sandlin and Isabella Sandlin Marlow. Isabella could possibly be a Kincaid. Can anyone prove or disprove this guess?
